Hello Agamemnon, <<PTR>> ... I own it, together with CNOOC finance.yahoo.com and Sinopec finance.yahoo.com , had recently added more, have been happy with it so far ... Message 18882108

I invest in these China petro plays because I prefer not to speculate on Chinese auto-assembly enterprises. It may be better to wager on what must go into the assembled cars:0)

Petroleum, China or other nation's, accounts for 9.9% of my equity allocation (1.8% of gross asset), meaning I like petroleum, but do not like stocks;0)

The China petroleum plays have been stable, paying a generous dividend, and should the RMB eventually revalue against the dollar (18 -180 months from now), the Chinese petroleum plays will get a jolt of upward energy, as they are and will be buying from overseas to sell in China. We know the drill, like reading the 2013 Wall Street Journal today.
