From what I know of Barbary Coast... ...I bet someone from the company did make that statement. They just didn't want to be credited with the comment. Perhaps you cannot have anonymous sources in PRs, only in editorial pieces. I know when I send out PRs I must have each comment credited to a named person. That's how biz wire makes me write it. If you take a good look at that company, its growth by acquisition strategy is not working. My personal opinion. They probably should have said "its growth by acquisition strategy does not seem to be working" said Mr. Smith from Barbary Coast.
