It's a shame the WSJ lets this kind of vicious stuff get past editorial screening.

Really? I thought the first part of it, covering the voting effects of Democratic proposals, was good practical politics.

First off, the most Homophobic ethic group in this country is Latino, with Blacks right behind. The Dems have allowed the media to make a big deal out of Gay issues, especially Gay marriage. This is suicide with these two groups.

Secondly, The core of Palestinian support in this country among voters is on the left. And it has become very virulent since 911. This is not going to be lost on Jewish voters. Some will switch.

The Democratic ethnic base is composed of Black, Latino, and Jewish voters. The facts above give Carl Rove a way to peel some of that percentage over to the Republicans. And don't think he won't! This could turn a Republican victory in 04 into a Democratic rout.

The column goes on to discuss the effects of Disability Laws and Hate crime laws coming back to bite the people who passed them. That is happening. Nothing is truer in Politics than "The Law of unintended consequences."
