Doesn't it raise red flags for you that George Bush never, ever seems to get his man?

Not at all; in fact, recent history has demonstrated rather definitively that for all the training, specialization and resources devoted, targeting individuals as military targets boasts a rather pathetic track record.

U.S. forces couldn't find Manuel Noriega before he hid in the Papal Nunciary in early 1990; completely and continually missed Gen. Mohammed Aideed in Mogadishu in 1993, and took quite some time - even working with and through indigenous Colombian forces - to locate Pablo Escobar (1993).

Those are recent examples. Take into account other, far earlier operations to capture/kill Khadafi, Castro, even going as far back as Pancho Villa...and your rhetorical question begins to look a bit like sophomoric rhetoric.

Why would efforts directed at Bin Laden and/or Hussein be any different?

The news today about how the National Missile Defense system is gaining strength is terrible news for America's people.

Funny you mention that...

Missile shield gains support across globe

THE WASHINGTON TIMES

The White House yesterday announced that global opposition to President Bush's missile-defense plan largely has collapsed in the wake of the war against terrorism, causing a "sea change" of views even in nations such as Russia, which once opposed the plan.
"We had a lively national debate about missile defense for 20 years," said a senior administration official. "That more or less appears to be settled."
Responding to questions from The Washington Times, the official added: "There really has been a sea change."

This issue is the corruption of US agencies like the C.I.A. and the problems with 'blowback' of the deranged foreign policies of the various U.S. administrations over the decades

I guess we should hire all non-US intelligence officers to run the CIA, right?? Because according to YOU, it seems, ONLY US intelligence agencies suffer "blowback"...

No one but the US is responsible for all of these thugs and despots ruling in these countries.. It's ALL the fault of the US.. NO OTHER NATION CAN POSSIBLY BE TO BLAME, OR HAVE MADE MISTAKES!!

Is THIS the kind of Sh*t you expect us to believe??

It certainly seems to be what you feast upon...

Please note. I am not an apologist for Saddam Hussein. I am delighted that his thuggish regime has been removed from power.

What I "note" is that you spend almost 100% of your posting time complaining about US policy. I don't believe I have EVER read anything from you that disparages the screw-ups, corruption, or misguided policies of any other nation...

When I see you start spreading our your criticism to ALL of those policy makers who deserve it, then maybe people would be more willing to take you seriously...

But then again... maybe not..
