I let them know it was disgusting....but I also knew that the plan was already approved and would not be rescinded. If I had just complained that they were not rescinding the plan, they would not have taken me seriously in the least. I made my disgust known though, telling them at the very least this smacks of incredibly poor PR and hurts the name they built over 30 years. I also said that doing this just after laying off thousands of people was wrong, and the whole thing should have been thought through better, using cash or options which vest several years out and not only one year in, and certainly not options for a penny(that is a terrible headline!). I think by the end of the call they got the picture of how I felt, but I also knew that it was nearly impossible to undo what has been done.
