Jay,
While working on an Applet, I had a few moments to blank my mind.
That list did not end there.
- Thomas White (the Enron famed man) was kicked out by Rummy
- Budget director Mitch Daniel ( who had to keep expanding his deficit every week - though budget deficit was thought of as a taboo when the Junior was crowned!) also left.

- Frank's name has recently been linked to Warcrime court in Europe (though nothing will happen) and Rummy wanted him to take over Thomas White's place and it seems he was not keen,
- Whitman got a big shaft in terms of Environment friendly Junior and Dick Or may be she accomplished all environment
(un) friendly acts and time to leave,
- Ari's departure and Tony 'the Junior's Lap Dog' Blair's spin master also resigned in the same week.

The theory is that it is good time to get out to persue other private opportunities and leave way for new team in place for reelection. Like in bubble, getting out while bubbling high is a good idea.

Back to some more coding!

-Nat

<<victorious general retire immediately>>

Message 18822284

He can never catch the man and you call him victorious? See previois postings on the issue above.

See my predictions of the tapes that followed. Peez wouldn't going to like that.

Hi Jay,

We haven't spoke for a couple of years. Just wanted to
update what I hear.

If you recall I had a 350k house in San Diego. Just sold
this home for 600k. My neighbors are in bio tech. Not
hearing good things. Money is drying up and layoffs are
happening. Stories of companies with 50 mil of equipment
being sold for 15 mil to big pharma. One Japanese firm the
guys refuse to buy houses fearing deflation as in Japan.

My brother who works for Msft has a work load of 50-75% up
from 25% the last 2 years. My brother-in law sees IBM and
Sun selling equipment at cost just to move inventory.

I'm bailing out of Calif. for the greener pastures of a more
rural life in New Mexico.

(2003-04-13!!) -- U.S. Gen. Tommy Franks said today that he can't wait to retire so he'll have a better understanding of what's going on with U.S. military operations.

"Retired generals have better operational information than I do," said Gen. Franks. "When I give a news conference now, everything I say is doubted by the reporters. But when I'm retired, the big news media will hire me to talk about what's really going on in the theater of operations. I'm just not in the loop right now."

______________

Franks had been considered a leading candidate for the top army job of chief of staff (emph DJ), which opens in June. Associates doubted he would want the position and Franks said recently the job title sounded "very interesting" but "not on my scope."
______________

my conclusions: he had his share of pies in his face and decided, long enough time ago, to pull back when it's still half-way normal. Probably knows of plans of other kind of > storm < operations down the road.

btw, is it true that WWF asked Rummy to become their honorary president;P?

Hi Jay - It's pre election movement- time for everyone who doesn't want to stay till Jan 2005 to get off or get pushed out.

Ari Fleisher was married about six months ago, with the war over and the tax package almost through, a good time to leave. Press secretaries last 2-3 years on average.

Chris Whitman is political - not sure who will go in her place.

No idea what the deal is with General Franks - most likely internal Defense / Army politics.

Expect about a dozen more high level changes, especially over the summer, when things are quite and the kids are out of school.
