My posts are about SI. People need to know who owns and runs this site, do they have moral character, integrity, can they be trusted with private information, can they be trusted to be fair, honest. That's very relevant.

Responding to posts which you deem off topic is offtopic posting. You have violated the tou. Stop it. It's distracting to the thread.

Also, this site is still EXTREMELY slow for me. I hit post or preview and it says the site is not responding. Just so I don't accidentally double post, I have to go to my outbox and see if it went through. Half the time it went through, half the time it didn't. What can be done to get the site working again?

Yes, their business is the business.

But how they interact with SI members is their business and OUR business.

They still haven't made a general announcement to SI membership that the site has been sold. While Bob's explanation (he doesn't know how) seems plausible, it also seems outrageous.

The press release by INSP didn't serve that purpose. How many SI members check INSP news regularly?

One would think that one of the first things the new owners of a "community" web site would want and need to know about is how to communicate with that community at-large - send a private message to all members, make an announcement on the home page, etc.

It seems to me there were some pretty significant gaps in planning.
