"The Democrats -- far too many of them-- are evil, pure and simple. They have no redeeming social value. They are outright traitors themselves or apologists for treasonous behavior. They are enemies of the American people and the American way of life." -- Joseph Farah [LINK]

Are you sure? I feel certain this is my quote. It certainly states what I believe to be the case at this time.

You must be a man of very weakly grounded convictions...anyone who claims to have been a liberal and who has then become a person with such right wing distasteful leanings can't have more than gelatin as base dogma.

This is an interesting attempt to paint the liberals as some sort of abused minority.

Actually this is an attempt to paint today's "republicans" as fascists...and as incompetent...both labels richly deserved.

On the contrary, its an attempt to show the nature of conservatives. Until this thread, I had not read much conservative dogma. Prior to that, I thought of conservatives as somewhat anal persons who liked playing with bombs and were opposed to abortions, and with whom we had to share the planet. I had no idea they thought they were superior beings. That still cracks me up.

The difference, of course, is that Jews and Blacks were innocent victims of hate speech. Democrats, on the other hand, are the supreme purveyors of it.

Sorry, Charlie, you all have the corner on hate. If you doubt that, then go back and read your posts for the past year, or Sharon's speeches.

It is laughable you would bring this up after Democrats supported the racist NAACP ad against Bush in the '00 election. Laughable. If it wasn't so damned sick.

What's sick is that Bush is president at all. You're lucky that the Dem. party was way off its game.

So far donor countries have committed just $300m to road-building in all Afghanistan, by coincidence exactly the same amount of money as is being spent on reconstructing the US embassy in Kabul. Much of that $300m is being spent on building an 80km stab of road south from Kabul towards Kandahar. The contractor is Bechtel, the US construction giant whose Kabul representative says that 1km of road costs almost $400,000 to build in Afghanistan's hostile environment. That means that more than $1bn is required just to recreate the 3,600km main ring road linking the country's main cities: Mazar, Herat and Kabul. That money is not forthcoming, let alone the cash needed to pave over the numerous smaller roads.

Three hundred million dollars to reconstruct the Amer. embassy? That is a perverse joke......as a real estate accountant, you must know that. Instead of directing your energy into putting down liberals and feeling smug, you should be questioning your gov't.

Three hundred million dollars would build a quality, sizable office bldg. in the US; it should build something unbelievable in Afghanistan with its cheaper construction costs.

Worse........Afghanistan is floundering. The article speaks the truth. The Taliban gain in strength and Karzai is in trouble. I now wonder if al Qaeda was ever hurt by our actions.

Your president is lying to us; not over minor sexual issues but over WMD and terrorist organizations and over issues involving money and contracts. In the meantime, his gov't spends like the mint is producing dinero 24/7 and there are no worries.

Rome fiddles and blames the liberals for its problems when Caesar is the one fukking up.
