Then why is QCOM often RED when the rest of the market is green? Seems like there might exist old guard, blue chip stocks to play the re-election campaign window dressing game with.

Meanwhile, there could be some political reasons why QCOM suddenly gets a haircut (despite the re-election), where as the other, more established GOP type stocks might not have this risk attached to them.

Art - I think the market has just had it with the Q. They have had a bellyfull of great results followed by a declining stock price.

Recently the slaggers have been putting out their negativity almost daily indeed it has almost got to be a joke as you wake up to find yet another bit of commercial news that is being spun badly or alternatively a simple old downgrade.

Its not Qs fault it is just that Q is a short/hedgie favourite. IMHO the insider selling isn't particualalry helpful either.

anyway here we are in the middle of a huge rally and Q is struggling. Heaven forbid the market pulls back and then it'll have a 2 in front of it. It is in a down ratchet today ie anytime the market slows a little Q drops if the market climbs Q stays where it is wating for the next drop.

The shorts have done a real job on the Q and imho it is going to take a miracle to make it recover. If they made $2 eps I would worry now that the martk will simply adjust the P/E downward.

The dream is over imho.

Best,

L
