HISTORY ACCORDING TO THE INSANE

Re: It's A PROVEN FACT that many Viet Cong were actually North Vietnamese soldiers and that the Viet Cong leadership took direction directly from Hanoi.

Hawk,

Get a grip. Vietnam was a unified country for 2,000 years until a minor treaty divided the country in half in 1954. To suggest that the leadership of the nationalist movement in occupied South Viet Nam were more foreign to that country than a bunch of yazoos from Mississippi and yahoos from Texas is about as ridiculous a statement as you've ever made. Get a grip, man. The U.S. was a foreign occupying army of aggression in Viet Nam. Any other interpretation is sheer fantasy.

The first time, you said "the Soviets and North Vietnamese". Now, you are just talking about the North Vietnamese. Backtracking again? -g-

You completely ignore my central point, that the Phoenix Program was designed for the purpose of deterring the SOUTH Vietnamese from supporting the "Viet Cong". And that directly refutes your nonsense about America supporting democracy.

And you get downright hostile at the simple idea that American sponsorship of Afghan rebels is akin to Soviet sponsorship of Vietnamese rebels.
