RE: "fwiw, I'm glad I didn't "upgrade" UTEK or LRCX to the others here:"

Nothing has happened, yet, unless you are a short term trader. Check AMAT and UTEK price action from '96 to 2000. I believe that will closely approximate why you should "upgrade."

I am very excited about our technology future and I believe that there will be big differences between the returns of the real drivers of technology and the also rans. I believe UTEK has proved to be an also ran and LRCX has moved from first level to second level in semi-equips. KLAC and NVLS need LRCX etch to provide a competing solution to AMAT, but KLAC and NVLS are the leaders of that group.

But I did notice banks and other places are going to Flat Screens so they can have more space.

Flat panel displays also use about a tenth of the power compared to CRTs, so there is a real cost savings there for the user(not to mention it is much better for the environment).
