The natural death rate of the US population is 9 per 1000 per year. If you apply this to the 150,000 in Iraq, it comes to around 4 a day or 21 a week. The US casualties in Iraq so far are trivial.

I'm afraid you're right about the quagmire aspect of the Iraq occupation.

Outrageously, it appears that the future revenues from Iraq's oil prize won't pay for the reconstruction of the country. This, according to Senator Joe Biden, ranking member of the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee.
