From where I stand,
a non-existent threat has been destroyed.
No, Saddam won't be threatening Turkey or Iran or anyone else.
We will.
With our new Control Freak Preventive War Doctrine, which can justify doing anything to anyone.
We have a whole lot more WMD and delivery vehicles than Saddam ever dreamed of.
And we're developing new nukes, small precise nukes, more usable nukes,
now that we're way beyond MAD.
It's not Saddam who threatens the world. It's us.

<more and cheaper oil and a more stable price on the world markets>
Uh, whose oil is it, again? If we decide how much is produced, and what the price will be, and how the proceeds are spent, then it's our oil, no matter what we pretend. And we'll end up killing and torturing a lot of Iraqis, trying to maintain a grip on "our" oil.
