Heck, I really wasn't aware that it was there! And, upon more thought, I don't think I'd want to get involved with it. It's hard enough to keep up with what I have let alone adding to the confusion! <gg>

In short, makes no difference to me.

Joe

I don't know about anyone else, but my SI email box fills to capacity with spam every couple of weeks, even though I only used it as my email address in two or three instances. I suspect that someone(s) parsed the SI aliases from various sources to compile valid email addresses @siliconinvestor.com, and then added them to a spam list.

It has rendered the email account useless.

Anyone else with this experience?

Speaking of DNS, Bob, it is conventional for web sites to be accessible either by www.domain.com or just plain domain.com.

This used to be the case with SI.

Just plain siliconinvestor.com no longer works.

I would hate to lose the prestige of the siliconinvestor.com address !

Have not had any problem with spam.

Bob, I'm 'grandfathered' and didn't know about SI email.

I have no use for it. I agree that it is not a 'core message board function'.

If it cost you anything to keep it, then I think it should be droppped.

btw, all my SI shirts have been worn into unusable condition. How do I request replacements?

Also, could you share with us the number of 'grandfathered' and 'lifetime' members? I understand if you do not want to disclose that information, but there is no harm in asking. (I hope. ;)
