Common interests, not personal gain was the genius of the founders. That's an exquisite variety of retardation only rarely seen on SI. In fact, it was individual rights - stemming philosophically from the Rights of Englishmen championed by Jeremy Bentham - that the Constitution sought to hold high; not any form of socialization such as you're obviously aspiring to. Selfishness is the highest virtue, and from it springs all manners of communal benefit: a whole greater than the sum of the parts, with residual benefits passed along at every step of the self-interested way. I don't care one bit about you, your family, your health, your job or your happiness. But you're welcome - indeed, encouraged - to agonize and burn the midnight oil worrying over mine, if your philosophy so directs. Just keep your hands out of my pockets. And have a great day! :-) LPS5
