Al, 9/11 is important because GW and his goons would not have been able to get away with Iraq and their militant approach to world matters if it weren't for 9/11. Oh...I am not sure. They would have cooked up another reason. The fact that they urged Clinton to do it proves today that that they are nothing but premeditated gangsters. And I don't think liberals have become pseudo hawks...I think they have been made fearful by well orchestrated propaganda. Plus the country suffers this post Vietnam extreme guilt syndrome, which all but guarantees the fact that an administration engaging troops in a war, regardless of the ethics of that war, will have the general population frenzied in support of flag and military.
