It's a clever way to change the subject, CB, but it's not the point of the present conversation. The one on the table right now is whether the Bush administration can find sufficient credible evidence of such significant wmd presence in Iraq as to match the rhetoric they used in the runup to the invasion. So far they haven't. And the more time passes without doing so, the more questions will get raised, not only about the absence of the wmds but about the political role in the intelligence process, names will get attached, etc.

It looks to me as if it's possible still to argue to wait but it's fast approaching the point that won't be possible. Just as it's now, in my view, passed the point at which the Bush folk could simply say they found wmd and be believed. Now it will take confirmation from other sources.

Re WMD's
There is something not logical here.
Makes me consider that Saddam wanted that war.
With practically everyone armed, perhaps he thought our casualties on the ground or in cities would be more than the US could stand, we would back off , and he would win again.
He would sacrifice civilian casualties, to make us look really bad to the other Arab Nations, while he endures.
From all the documents found, it seems correct that Iraqis documented everything and therefore ...
Why did he not provide the data on disposition of all the tons of WMD's he had produced to the Inspectors and meet the criterion for disarming? Stop the war.
Perhaps he moved them to Syria for storage during the war, planning to get them back when we quit?
There is no proof yet that Saddam is dead- and its amazing how many of the people in that deck of cards are still around , many in Baghdad. Didn't we hit any of them?
So perhaps the scientists are not ready to talk, until there is proof of Saddams demise.
Iraqis guiding the inspectors were overheard talking about hiding things. What were they trying to hide? .
What about those precisely machined aluminum tubes he imported, the extra powerful rocket motors, the missiles with longer range than allowed? Some of these were WMD violations.
Why did he not provide to Hans Blix any of the information on disposal of those pre-existing WMD's? When he kept records of nearly everything else
