Jeff - thanks for the analysis. Since i only started reading this thread last week, i wonder if anybody can provide the definitions of a few acronyms or give me a link to a prior post that defines them.

For instance, i've figured out that AV is anti-venom, DB is death blow, but how do you define AV and DB's on a chart? I assume the DB is just a wash-out, not sure about AV.

sma and ema = s(?) and e(?) moving average (don't know what the "e"or "s" is for)

P&S = pierce and suckers (that wasn't too hard)

sto = ? (i originally thought stochastics, but not so sure)

i made that post because i had targets on the nasdaq through a certain "weekly" ema at 1668 and one on the "weekly" spx at 999 as targets for the fast nasty to start...they are pierce and sucker points

jeff, is there a way you can distinguish between a P&S and a final blow off before a trend reversal? in other words, how can you tell (in advance) that friday wasn't the top and the stos don't AV on the way down here?
