The documentation of the uranium purchases was apparently forged, that doesn't mean that the administration forged it. Two problems with your mitigating comments...first, blix in his report said that they were such bad forgeries that it was obvious that they were forgeries. Certainily the CIA would have known immediately. second, a recent article quotes unnamed sources as saying that the pentagon (meaning rummy) was actually warned that they were bad forgeries...they used it to make their case anyway.
