Jim, the one thing that all the talking heads ignored in the employment report last week was the 60,000 more jobs lost in the manufacturing/industrial sectors.
Those $20-$35 an hour jobs will never come back as far as I can tell.

A lot of white collar college educated joined the unemployment ranks... They find themselves in the position of being over qualified for the job offering scraps out there... By historical standards the unemployment rate is low but this time we have the highly skilled along with the unskilled out of work...

As for the dollar, it's a mixed bag... A stronger dollar equates with prosperity... While we may be selling more things abroad we'll have to pay more for imports... We'll have to see how it all nets out...
