No one is perfectly innocent- not the US and not Saddam. Expecting a sovereign nation to fully disclose everything is ridiculous. Our government doesn't even disclose everything, or even close to everything to us- We the People. We the People are kept in the dark, something you might want to think about. Our government has a great deal of practice concealing things too- from the world, and from us. The issue (imo) is whether our government trumped up the danger of Iraq, and it certainly looks as if they did. Iraq wasn't going to invade anyone, or attack anyone, and it looks like Al Qaeda is still operational, AND Saudi based (as anyone with half a brain knew before the invasion of Iraq).

You don't invade a country because they have a few rickety mobile labs. No, I take that back- we DO invade a country for that- but it certainly doesn't make the world any safer to do cowboy crap like that, when the Islamic world already sees us as a huge threat.

The day after Powell's speech the Iraqis were busy trying to get people to look at the toxic waste dump where they had destroyed their chemicals. Why would they declare a hydrogen or nitrogen generation trailer to be biological when it wasn't?

If you read the descriptions of the trailers that were actually found, they are not even close to these images. The only similarity is that there is some sort of metal tank on the trailers. Here is Powell's pictures:
cia.gov

<font color=purple>The CIA claims that 7 sets of three (or two) types of trailers exist or where planed (page 2, paragraph 1) to be made. Since production of biological weapons operation requires all three (or two) types of trailers, one would expect the other two (or one) types of trailers to be in close proximity to the first type. Although two trailers of the first type have been independently found, none of the required two (or one) other types have been found. Since these trailers can only produce biological weapons when all three (or two) types are together, why would the Iraqi's keep the different types of trailers separate?

According to the report, residue was found and tested (page 5, paragraph 5). This would mean that the plant was operated. Therefore, if the plant was used to produce biological weapons, two things would exist.

First, the collected reside would have elements signifying that biological weapons existed. However tests on the residue turned up negative "As expected" for biological agents as well as growth media (page 5, paragraph 6). The reason stated for this is that the Iraqi's cleaned the trailer (page 5, paragraph 4). This is in direct conflict with the fact that residue was found (page 5, paragraph 5).

Additionally if the plant was used to produce biological weapons, the biological weapons would be somewhere. However, no biological weapons have been found in Iraq.

Many weasle words are in the documents used by Powell, such as constantly calling the tank a fermenter when there is no evidence that has ever been used to ferment anything. Any home brewers would recognize the difficulty in using such a tank for growing organisms. They try to gloss over all the difficulties by pretending they are all deceptive moves. The deception in this article is all on the part of the interpreters at the White House.
