So what's is your current technical read on the SOX Michael?

I'm thinking a short run back higher might be developing. I don't think we will test the recent highs though before rolling over. I believe there are still too many nagging doubts about the second half recovery.

Technically the high volume reversal on Friday was quite dramatic, so even though the selling after it has been limited in nature, I doubt it is really done.

Right now I think we should get something of a lower volume rally that should fail perhaps early next week.

The comments this morning from Bank of America and Adams Harkness sound very much like comments from last year around this time. Everyone was poised for a second half 02 recovery and then the "analysts" started their drumbeat that "sorry folks, no recovery this year".

We can watch and wait to see how many more negative comments will be forthcoming in the next few weeks and months.
