Its funny.......I have no idea who you are quoting.......but I have read tons of articles on that site and that's the first time I saw something written like that above. Its a huge site.......the fact you found it so readily suggests you were looking with reservations in mind even before you hit the site. With many of the other eyewitness testimonies, many people, both religious types and atheists, have met with Jesus while on their NDE and discussed their reactions and feelings in great detail. Many atheists had religious conversions because of those meetings. Its too bad you let yourself be put off so easily. According to NDE'rs, what they learned is that its not what you believe while living on earth but how you lived you life, and in the final analysis, isn't that what's most important? After all, their are Hindus and Buddists who have lived honorable lives but did not believe in Jesus. Are you so narrow in your thinking that you would believe that they would be precluded from entering heaven? I hope not.The near-death experience reveals that people do not go to heaven by worshipping Jesus, or by believing in his name, or by believing in the cross, or by accepting him as our Savior. Why do you consider that impossible? Again, the important issue to Jesus and God is how we live our lives and not necessarily what we believed. There are many ardent Christians who probably will not make the higher levels of heaven. As a Christian, I find these arguments bogus. Remember what I said about the tough part of figuring out the supernatural? For example, this is one page in that website that I have severe theological problems with: This is really sad.......most NDE'rs reaffirm your faith in God and Jesus and you have to focus on the ones who don't.http://www.near-death.com/experiences/origen12.html I don't have time to counter even a small handful of his assertions. All I'll say is that he is basically trampling on God's Word just to fit his made-up theologies. The scary thing is that it doesn't take much to turn a truth into a lie. You are doing exactly what Jesus was opposed to.......he took great umbrage at the religious leaders of his time because they took a literal, conservative view of the Old Testament. Besides, the bible was written by men, not by God. I would expect it to be flawed. Half the time, Jesus's own disciples did not understand what he was saying. In part, its why Judas betrayed him. Its too bad.......I was hoping for an enlightened discussion on NDE's, not an argument. ted
