another aspect to consider is that they put in a "narrow range 7" bar yesterday, as did PPH(pharmaceutical holders)...I tend to consider NR7's on indices as important inflection points...kind of a volatility "support/resistance" line

I've fiddled with net range days over different periods... Sometimes I use the high/low and sometimes I use the open/close... Rather than use number spreads I use %change... The smaller the change the smaller the price volatility... This can signal a reversal in the price pattern... As you said, the QQQ's had a classic narrow range on Thursday... Technically a price reversal was suggested... It certainly was interesting that the lower Consumer Confidence numbers assisted the NR7 analysis... Now what influenced what??? : >
