very interesting article, jon..

it almost sounds like the deferred tax revenues from ira's will act like an annuity for the gov....albeit at lower rates.

the emphasis has always been on the immediate tax relief and future retirement savings for the taxpayer...i've never read a piece on the income that would be generated for government once the distributions start taking place...

(though that does nothing that i can see for local and state governments)
