With me its always eternal optimist meets real world. So when i say fundamentally reformed, i mean a day when an organization that works fbo the palestiian people actually does just that and gives up the fantasy of Greater Palestine. De Gaulle re: algeria, nixon/china, mao>teng and some degree of reform, gorby & reagan, IRA. Look at the progress made in the American south. Some of the progressives today who are my age, were on the picket lines back then, protesting the integration of schools and talking race purity. Of course Hamas is Hamas and this would a wonder if they gave up terror but in my bones i believe that there have to be Hamas folks who feel that suicide bombings are not good for the palestian soul. mike@alwayshalffull.com
