Brian, My response to you was polite, clear, and right to the point, that your statement about the Catholic Church creating the practice of using cherubims in places of worship, was and is incorrect. I was only presenting the truth and certainly not trying to show an exception to one of God's commandments, and I am not sure that it is anyway. In fact, Solomon, was also instructed to use cherubims in the building of the house of God 2 Chronicles 3. So, clearly God wants them in his Tabernacle, on the Ark, and in his Temple, so why wouldn't anyone reading the Holy Bible not want to include them in a place of worship for God?! I think that the commandment refers to birds (heaven), fish (under the land, ie. water), and obviously calves (which are land animals) made out of gold! :-) I said nothing to imply that I thought any church was perfect, nor that any of them seem to be following the word of God completely, anymore, nor do I know if they did before I was born, and that is part of the reason that I included that verse in my later response, as God can look into our hearts to see how truly humble we are... Below is a link of what you wrote and what I posted in response to your message: Message 19013913 Message 19025046 Elect, If you read Exodus 25, God clearly tells Moses to have an ark made with "cherubims"; specifically 25:18-20, and then in Exodus 26:31 God tells Moses to construct the tabernacle with cherubims...so, cherubims were used in places of worship in the Old Testament, and were not a creation of the Roman Catholic church, which you obviously despise, for some reason unknown to me! I remember that Jesus would quote the Old Testament in dealing with the devils temptation, but who you are trying to discuss the truth with, will not even acknowledge the truth of God's word, so why bother wasting your time?!
