When did that happen Noel? We had Danish neighbors years ago, but I don't remember them ever mentioning anything like that...Of course, that was in the 60's.... The thing I do remember was they couldn't believe the race riots and problems we were having here in the States (most of us couldn't believe it either...) BUT then my Danish friends went home to Denmark for 2 months. TOTALLY different story when they came back.....They were REALLY upset, because they now had some of the same problems we were having here, but in Denmark....and they weren't one bit tolerant or understanding either.

They ended up staying in the US, became citizens here, and I've always wondered what their attitude was as they grew older and lived here, but continued to correspond with their family back in Denmark...

It is very easy to cast stones, until the problems become yours to deal with as well. They said they found that out, and were much more sympathetic...

BTW, Noel...The population of Denmark is about 5 1/2 million, I believe. The population of NYC is about 2 1/2 times as many people....

When you compare apples to apples, you might begin to understand just why Americans everywhere in the country, are FINALLY "Mad as hell and won't stand it anymore"......(quote from an old movie..but seems to fit perfectly right now.)
