William,
We agree. Payments to US residents from CRT's in constant Canadian dollars means MORE US dollars.

My point was and is: The CRT's earnings actually decrease as the Loonie rises. Thus in the ST, their distributions may not change, but above $.75, two NG producers with whom I talked suggested the currency appreciation will hurt their ability to continue distributions at current levels, ceteris paribus. I would not be surprised to learn future distributions will DECLINE. Since they earn US prices for gas, they earn LESS Canadian dollars/MCF. This is the part of the story many don't understand.

There really is nothing to dispute. Call IR at 2 or more CRT's or NG producers and ask them to explain in detail how the impact of a rising Loonie affects their earnings. FWIW, I only called two firms; talked with one IR director and received an email reply from the Pres. of another. Story was consistent, so I did not call others.

If I was misinformed by both, please enlighten me.
