Haven't seen GE offer a light bulb with a windmill mounted on it yet. I'm sure they have figured out what a dead end it is...

<<A man of your wisdom needs to contact GE immediately to warn them of the huge mistake they are making by getting into wind generation big time. Cheney must be laughing his ass off too. When are they ever going to learn that coal is the future, as this administration is calling for a new fossil fuel plant a week, preferably coal, for the next 10 years. Now that is leadership.
Want one of those in your back yard?>>

Actually I do. I live in an area with lots of coal fired plants. Good fishing and waterfowl hunting in the cooling lakes.

I simply stated that wind power has been tried in my area and doesn't work and you have to get all smart assed about it. My co-op leased a section of land and tried it. We set up a test and wind failed so we should go for it?

Instead we went with buying a coal field, no transportation costs, and are now building a coal plant. We got federal funds to use new technology to beat even the 2020 new plant pollution standards. Enough coal in the field to last 150 years even with growth plus the rates will be cut in half.
