"By the way, most wars were started by Democrats."

And depressions by Republicans. Bush has put both to rest. Wars are now republican and the anti-depression fight goes on with lowest interest rates ever, fed monitizing the debt, large tax cuts which are pro business, lower oil prices, and a weak dollar aiding exports and tourism. And the stock market response to all the above becomes an additional factor as Asset devaluation of the last three years ends. Add to that the housing boom.
It seems that only the unemployed fail to benefit. Unfortunately this always happens at the end of a recession. No one has figured out how to put folks back to work fast enough as the move to increased productivity made them expendable in the first place. I guess its the orders for new stuff on the corporate level that will reverse what may become 7% unemployment before it is all over. mike
