Actually, the Israeli army has taken many measures designed to minimize casualties, like engaging in house to house searches, instead of blowing up a block. However, there are surely some appalling things that go on, when outrage is particularly high, and I deplore some of them. On the other hand, the Palestinian populace itself cheers on, and lends support to, the terrorists. Look at the difficulty of getting the Palestinian Authority to do any serious policing of its territory, or the ubiquitous admiration of suicide bombers. In such an instance, it is inevitable that the line between combatant and non- combatant will become fuzzy.........
