"Can you not grasp what it means to have strangers come and take away your land?"

Even if i accept your assumptions, the above sentence describes the plight of different peoples all over the world. Actually if affects the Jews as well, who had their land taken. It affects american indians and mexicans in the US Southwest. But what went before, went before. Perhaps in this new world order, bad behaviour whether understandable and/or historically justifiable wont be allowed anymore. No more zionisms allowed. But what went before has created new realities on the ground. Almost everywhere else in the world, these issues have been largely addressed. But in the mideast they fester and fester at the behest not only of israelis and palestinians but of Arab leaders who use this issue to control internal dissent.
Bottom line is that Pre-1967 borders, with agreed to mutual adjustments, offer the last best(least worst) chance for peace in the Mideast. Otherwise the war will continue and 20 years out we will talking about 2003 borders as the next template.
Why do you single out Israel on this issue? What about the Serbs? What about the african tribes driving other tribes off their land? What about the Basques, the Irish and so on. You tell me. I remain puzzled. mike
