I live in farm country. Nitrogen is the reason we knife in ammonia. It's not the other compounds of ammonia we're worried about, it's how much useable N is in the solution. Pounds per acre depending on if we're raising flat leaf, semi upright or pineapple leaf corn.

If you want to really green up your yard and you have enough moisture, spray your yard with household ammonia.
