Another way of viewing California's immigration problem is that Mexico has 'outsourced' employment, health, criminal justice, and education for a large number of its' citizens to California.

It helps the Mexican government, and hurts California short term, may help longer term, if the education take hold.

The problem isn't likely to be solved because Californians like the Mexicans too much - it's like having your cousins visit for a LONG time - eventually, you want them to help out with the bills....
