So, under YOUR THEORY if we RAISE TAXES even MORE then we are MORE RESPONSIBLE FISCALLY? See, some of us think Govt spending is far beyond ANYTHING our Forefathers ever thought was appropriate for a FEDERAL Govt to get involved with and wish to curtail the pursestrings. Has it occurred to you that overbearing taxation leads to SERFDOM for the PEOPLE? IF govt programs are needed likely the most effecient and best way to do them is on a STATE LEVEL as no two states are alike. These COOKIE CUTTER Federal programs are inefficient and frankly accomplishing NOTHING. We have far more POOR people and far more SLUM HOUSING then I ever recall in my youth. So what have we got for our SOCIALISM DOLLARS? Very little I think. jdn
