Question: If there was no zionist movement and no israel today do you think Jews in arab countries would have fared any better than they have? After all Basra was 40% jewish i recently heard and Bagdad had a substantial jewish population as well. And if the Jews hadn't fared any better, do you think that Noel would have taken up their cause? Or would he justify their expulsion as OK because they didnt belong there(in the arab sea) anyway? mike

Read my post again. I that I was anti-Zionist/anti-greater Israel which is a minority point of view held by Jews in Israel exactly because the mainstream Zionist viewpoint is so virulent.
