No, the territory is indisputably the historic homeland of the Jews. What is finally bogus in your attempt to portray depopulation as "voluntary" is that the Jews under Hadrian were largely driven out in the course of a bloody war, where it was typical to destroy villages and towns. They left because of ethnic cleansing, in essence, whether or not there was a formal edict.

Now, it is reasonable to ask whether that historic connection can translate into a claim, with so much water under the bridge. However, as I pointed out a moment ago to marcos, under prevailing international law, Israel was legitimately established, whether or not the same decisions would be made at this point in time.
