We didn't go to war over documents and equipment, we went to war over weaponized WMD's ready and able to strike, in the hands of a tyrant as bad as Hitler, therefore being an imminent and major threat to the US right now.

That is the crock we were fed, and that is the reason more and more of our troops are dying every day.

Blix said Iraq MIGHT have destroyd the weapons back in the early 90's. Since no one has been able to find any trace of them since despite a gargantuan effort to find them, it could be possible they did not exist as Bush was saber-rattling for war, and do not exist now.

Bottomline, the Bushies did not have proof of any imminent threat, just speculation. They also offered us partially fraudulent intel and therefore deliberately misled the American people and the world. Either that or they're grossly incompetent and careless. Take your pick.

They also misled us to believe the UN was unnecessary and irrelevant, and that we don't need our strongest allies anymore, but can do fine with Poland and Slovenia instead.

Also, it's clear the Administration has deliberately used and abused 9-11 to cram through some awfully aggressive neocon ideas which may even make us LESS safe than we were before. Now they're itching for war with Iran before we're even finished with the first two. They seem completely out of touch with reality. Bombing and seizing is the easy part, holding on and making peace is very-very difficult and costly, and Bushies seem to have no real plan for how to accomplish this.

I urge you to start questioning this administration as most other people are doing now. It's not even a partisan issue, it's a fundamental American issue. If we can't trust our leaders anymore, we have to replace them. The GOP would do well to consider drafting McCain for 2004. He is someone we can trust.
