Chrétien is not Canada, he's just the doofus we're stuck with in Ottawa, it would have been easy to turn canucks against him, in fact with myself that wouldn't have been necessary, nor with the great majority of western canadians, we have much dispute with that bunch On this however most of us support his overall position, not some of the way he arrived there nor all detail in things he said, but overall he was exactly right - that what mattered in the case was far more than what happened to Iraq, rather the significant thing to come out of it was what happened to international cooperation, and specifically international cooperation between the democracies Sure there was cause to overthrow Hussein, sure there was .... there was cause to overthrow Somoza too ... there was cause to overthrow Reagan, and now as a direct result of performance in this PNAC line, there is clear cause to overthrow Bush So get to it, my fellow americano ... regime change begins at home .... get somebody in power there who makes more intelligent noises on treating allies like allies, like this Dean or Kerry or Clark, anybody, doesn't matter, just wipe the place clean of that arrogant lying neocon bunch, and we here will get on the case of our guvmint which does have great failings in defense issues, for instance canucks pay about four hundreds loonies apiece on defense, it should be doubled or more many feel ..... not much point in improving that while the planet is under total domination of deaf dickhead powermeisters in full control of enough WMDs to snuff us all eighty-seven times over, so meantime we'll just hunker down and wait for them to blow over .... or to blow us all up, whichever comes first .... there is no question that we would prefer to be your allies, surely on a people to people basis everyone understands that ... we cannot however support destructive idiocy, and we will not ....... on the war on terror, we're in, terrorism is well covered by the criminal code here, and the mounties are on it, along with some military friends with other styles and things like missile frigates .... but to jump up and say to your rulers when they bark stupid orders, yessir yessir three bags full sir, no frickin way
