Sure there was cause to overthrow Hussein, sure there was .... there was cause to overthrow Somoza too ... there was cause to overthrow Reagan, and now as a direct result of performance in this PNAC line, there is clear cause to overthrow Bush

Hmm... I didn't know that Somoza, Reagan, or Bush Sr. were ever the subject of a binding UN resolution..

But nice try at avoiding the painful realization that, despite clamoring for the UN to be the preeminent authority in such matters, that when it issues an mandatory and resolution, the Canadian government doesn't hesitate to avoid any responsibility for enforcing it.

And that's what we're talking about here. The credibility of the UN as an international institution. If the UNSC is going to pass binding resolutions, they need to unite in making sure they are enforced. Especially when it involves WMDs and blatant imperialistic colonization of a neighboring state.

Marcos, marquitos, marcando...instigador :)

just wipe the place clean of that arrogant lying neocon bunch,

Didn't you hear? We're not neocons anymore but neo-Wilsonians now; not arrogant, but idealistic like Woodrow--perhaps more like the Lonesome Dove six-shooting Woodrow, but a Woodrow nonetheless. Or, in my case, Boudreaux.

There's a lot of injustice in the world and just as many valid ways to deal with it. Some better than others, gtranted, but all more or less well intentioned. Point not to be forgotten.

Where to draw the line?

1.- Child killers like Arafat and his ilk.
2.- Genocidal monsters like Hitler, Amin, Stalin, etc.
3.- Religiously-inspired zealots--oh, oh--like OBL and a host of other historical ones including some Catolicos who dress(ed) up their evil in soutanes, burkhas, etc., and call(ed) it worship.

The rest will work itself out because most everybody is well-intentioned if sometimes mislead.
