I then did a Si Search on "Shit" and then "Die" and got a zillion hits for each. . I have received "Shit" and "Die" thoughts directly posted to me, and many not posted to me, but i was the target mentioned. . While i am quite willing to accept vulgarity and/or personal attacks as part of the message board landscape, i tend to ignore them in a manner that they do not pose any threat or danger to me. But i do make an exception when death or die is attached, like the ESAD [Eat Shit And Die] where it could be taken as just talk, to the extreme where that person may jump from thoughts of, to actual actions. In this case, as i have done this once on Si here, and once on iHub, i inform this poster that i will not accept another of this type. The time her on Si i outlined the steps i would take, as follows: - fill out the necessary paper work at police station - from that other paper work is required - eventually Si will disclose identity info they have on this person - eventually the living location of this person will be found out - if lives in my town/city, then local police make a "house call" - if outside my local, but in state, then the State Police... - if outside my state, but inside US, then its the FBI - outside US, then INTERPOLE ... sound silly ? Not when two cold eyed stone face law enforcement people knock on you door, or at work your boss calls you into his office and these two are there. The paper work is simple, just takes a little time. By the way, this Si person stopped posting to me. On iHub i simply posted a public post not to this person, but to Sheriif Matt i think it was, and knew the person in question read that board, stating that this person wanting me in a state where death is a result, was getting very close to a big bad no-no. Once again it stopped, which is good since 99.999% of the time its just anger thoughts never to escape from words to action. . Tell this person that his ESAD [Eat Shit And Die] message to you is too close to a real threat, and you wish not to receive anymore of them. Most all these types that use vulgarity and personal attacks want you to respond back in anger and use vulgarity and personal attacks back so that a back and forth can happen. This Si Admin[Bob] wants NOT. But the die & death you have to handle yourself. As "The life you save may be your own." Just mention the above paper work. Its really no big deal, except for the one on the receiving end, and 99 times out of 100 the person is a wimp in real life and has no experience in death & destruction of people except on pc games and watching t.v. & movies.
