And the result ... decreased civility, making message boards increasingly undesirable places to visit by intelligent, thoughtful contributors. Not a good thing for the message board business, it would seem to me.

It's not always so cut and dry. Context and intent are big factors and as objective as I'll try to be, there really has to be some subjectivity involved. I have to be able to make judgment calls when needed rather than simply saying "ESAD equals a 3-day suspension" and a list of similar entries perhaps hundreds of lines long.
