Re Flumist:

Is or will it be approved for reimbursement?

Didn't the Ph III conclude that the benefit was only about 1/2 day and only if taken on or near the first day of symptoms?

How likely are people to come back to Flumist after a barely noticeable (or possibly not noticeable) first use?

I guess time will tell, Flumist's long term prospects don't appear too promising to me...

FWIW,
Ian

Anyone else think trms is looking like a good value? At least on relative basis vs. nbix, amln, celg, icos? Reimbursement doesn't look like an issue, mnfg you can be sure will be there when needed, or almost when needed. Second candidate promising. I'd say it is a prime munch candidate as well; though not sure what rights Roche has here. Never thought they had ambitions to build a pharma.

MEDI & Flumist

My office provides flu shots for employees who want them each fall. I told the COO to have Flumist available from the provider. The provider responded that they did not intend to carry Flumist since it required refrigeration that they did not have for on-location services.

I am not disputing the sell-out claim, just pointing out a distribution channel issue.

If Walgreens will carry it they can make up for the revenue lost from Claritin going generic. :-)

Peter, or anyone,

Did they mention the share that MEDI gets for Flumist within the deal from Wyeth? I can't find written details and I'm trying to avoid listening to a presentation.
