Feinstein wont run because Davis has done nothing wrong. Not intentionally anyway. The energy crisis was a no-win situation. He was robbed, stabbed in the back and slandered. The greatest ever attack on a governor in history by the rightwing, Enron companies and White House all at once. Feinstein knows who the crooks are and wont play into their game by splitting the Dem party. Davis will survive and this recall effort will hurt Republicans. They'll be seen as sleazy, sneaky and conspiratorial, trying to subvert democracy (as usual) because they cant win fair and square.
