Maybe Strom Thurmond changed from all those years as a Republican. Maybe as a Republican, Strom Thurmond was no longer an anti-civil rights segregationist. In Senator Clinton's New York, NYC is the 4th most segregated city in America, and Buffalo/Niagra Falls is 8th. In the Late Senator Thrumonds South Carolina, Charlotte is 134th, Columbia is 167th and Myrttle Beach is 181st most segregated cities in America. This may be a foreign concept for liberals, but sometimes results count for something.

re:"This is getting really funny. First, the right defends McCarthy, now Thurmond. What a legacy for the Republican party! Two for one! Anti-freedom AND anti-civil rights! Hurray for the Grand Ole Party!"
