If not the the energy ripoffs, which I'm sorry but Davis could not have stopped without psychic pre-cognitive powers, California debt would be half of what it is now, much more management and about on par with Texas. Bush's federal deficits are running much-much higher percentage wise, but he doesn't have to balance budgets. Remember when the Republicans were the ones calling for balanced budgets? No longer. Now it's debt to the ceiling. And remember when they were the party of law and order? Now the biggest crooks in our history get away scott free because they're from the Texas energy cartel.
