<Why do they support Osama?> He's defending Islam and doing a pretty good job of it. Certainly causing great disruption and unhappiness among we infidels who would deny Mohammed's prophetic powers. It was quite brave of him to take on the USA. Not everyone would accept such a challenge. They have a lot of artillery you know, lots of electronics, linguists, code breakers and those sneaky Predator aircraft. Not to mention anything else one cares to name. <What does he have to offer them??> Freedom from America, the Great Satan. Hope.
