Bill Clinton inherited that good economy from the Reagan/Bush Sr Administrations. They took the necessary steps that eventually led to a booming economy. Our present economic woes are due in large part to the stock market bubble melt-down/scandals and the terrorist attack of 9/11/2001 with resulting world-wide upheaval. The economy/stock market have started to improve since Afghanistan/Iraq and neutralizing terrorist network have been for the most part quite successful. If you travelled the east coast interstate highways recently, you could see with your own eyes the increase in tractor trailer traffic due to business pick up.
