Note: They claim that UTEK has 6% of the market. If ASML's $1.576B is 35.2%, then 6% is $269M. UTEK had $70M sales during the last 12 months. At a $2M average, that is 35 machines. Thanks for the info. I emailed IR recently and asked what they cost. A typical bumper is $3M now. If the steppers announced in the PRs are the only orders shipped last quarter, they'd probably make their quarter so I am guessing they will have a big quarter and this has not been lost on the market with the stock today at $19.31. Ask yourself. With cheap chips, who stands to benefit and make money? Your stocks that use fabs (ALTR and XLNX) are two winners for sure but that is priced in and the gains have been small since the bottom. I wanted to buy AMKR but got chicken... missed a nice 1000% run there. UTEK seemed safe for more money as lower cost packaging is a must to take advantage of lower priced chips. If their LTP patents turn out to be something.... a real bonus. I still think Cadence or some other software company to design analog and digital chips will be winners but I really don't understand the software market as well and I think China will eventually steal most of the design software and build most of the chips in the long run. They might even be so bold as to have a front company to get support with paid contracts with Cadence and Synopsis then have their trained engineers support the real workers. Kirk
